My no. 1 rule for 2010: Break all the rules!  It's time for new adventures, new paradigms of thought and practice ... no posing, no pushing the envelope, no thinking out of the box ... what envelope? what box?

For Urban Paradoxes (as you know, that's my nom de plume) this is the decade of new experiences (one does not die at 66) and new (currently un-thought-of) adventures ... new insights.  To paraphrase Nietzche, this is the decade of giving birth out of chaos to dancing stars.  And believe me, with all the chaos in my mind, there must be millions of dancing stars waiting to be born, many are already on the horizon. No, it is not a New Years Eve hangover!

So what dancing stars are on the horizon?

To begin, 2010 is for Urban Paradoxes, at least, the year of the neighborhood.  Not wanting to give too much away too soon, I'll just simply say that it involves a nifty new camera, a revived e-zine, and of course all the blogs– "The Empty Space," Co | Create: Ideas Matter," "Reflections," & "Flaneur" (even the book review blogs fit in). [There's a complete list on "Gleanings."]

Now here's another rule I am going to break: "Blogs should be posted regularly."  Why?  If one has nothing creative to say why bore his (or her) readers?  However, I do promise to post when I have gleaned an idea from the fringes and margins or have the desire to provoke. So, hang in there.  And just for the record, I love a lively debate, thus, please feel free to argue (nicely of course) with me about anything I post.

By the way, if you are on Facebook please send me an invite if you haven't already done so.
